Careers Privacy Notice
This notice explains what we do with your details when you apply for a job with us.
Who we are
Lumen Solar is the trading name of Lumen Engineering Limited, a company registered in Ireland (CRO number 535466), based at Blyry Business & Commercial Park, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, N37 EC93, Ireland.Lumen Engineering Limited is the data controller for your application.
What we collect
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Your town and county
- Your CV, if you send one
- Your answers to the questions on the form, including why you want the job
- How you heard about us, and the name of the person who referred you, if you give one
Why we use it
We use your details to consider you for jobs at Lumen Solar, and to contact you about them. Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a possible contract of employment, and your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
The form runs a spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile) before it sends your application. It checks that a person, not a program, filled it in.
If you apply through a job website or by email, we may use an AI service to read that email and copy your details into our hiring system. That service may process the email outside the EU, under standard contract terms. A person at Lumen Solar checks the result, and AI never decides who we hire.
Who sees it
Only the owner and the office manager read your application. Our email provider and our hosting providers process it for us, under contract. Your application is stored on servers in the EU. We do not sell your details.
How long we keep it
We keep your application on file so we can consider you for future jobs. You can ask us to erase it at any time, and we will.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the details we hold about you
- Have anything wrong corrected
- Have your details erased
