/* * The header is script-driven in three places, and all three failed silently with JavaScript * off: the burger did nothing when clicked, the dropdown panels never opened (they are shown * by an `.is-open` class the script applies, deliberately, so `aria-expanded` cannot disagree * with what is on screen), and the phone number was hidden below 64em. On a phone that left a * header containing a logo and nothing else — the visitor had to scroll an entire long page * to reach any second page or any way to make contact. * * These rules only ever apply when scripting is off, so none of them can reach the enhanced * header. `is:inline` is required: Astro extracts a plain <style> into the bundled stylesheet * and leaves an empty tag behind, which would make the whole block a no-op. */ /* The dead button out, the link to the footer sitemap in. */ .burger { display: none !important; } .burger-fallback { display: inline-flex !important; } /* * CSS-only dropdowns. The comment on `.dropdown.is-open` explains why :hover and * :focus-within are NOT used in the main stylesheet — they would show a panel the button * reports as closed, and Escape could not dismiss it. With no script there is no * aria-expanded being maintained and no Escape handler to honour, so the objection does not * apply and this is simply the only way the child links can be reached. Without it * /services, /why-choose-lumen-solar, /grants and all 22 of their children are unreachable * from the header. * * This is also the one :hover rule on the site NOT wrapped in `@media (hover: hover)`. It is * navigation here, not feedback: on a touch device with scripting off, the tap-applies-:hover * behaviour described in src/styles/components.css is the mechanism that opens the panel, and * guarding it would put the sub-pages out of reach on exactly the devices least able to * afford it. A panel that stays open until the next tap is a far smaller problem than 22 * unreachable pages. */ .nav__item--has-menu:hover .dropdown, .nav__item--has-menu:focus-within .dropdown { opacity: 1 !important; visibility: visible !important; transform: translateY(0) !important; } /* Put a phone number and an email address on screen at every width, since the drawer that would otherwise carry them cannot open. */ .utility { display: block !important; }
